Puno mainly consists of the finest soft baby alpaca 68%, completely without any bristles and 10% finest soft merino wool and 22% synthetic for a thin net, where the mixture of baby alpaca and merino wool is 'stuffed' into. This special way of making the yarn gives a rich but light yarn that lasts approx.twice as long as a traditional spun yarn. This means you only have to buy ½ the number of keys. You get an easy job and use only half the number of keys that yarn of a similar length would use.
Puno is probably the softest yarn I've tried, almost like cashmere and with a nice raw look.Puno is very knitting-friendly for both beginners and those who can only tolerate working in light and elastic yarns - a super yarn to get your hands on.
Of course, all wool is mulesing free, the alpaca is RAS certified and the yarn is produced under the best conditions in Italy, ecotex 100. Is completely produced with the greatest consideration for both animals and people. We have had this requirement for over 30 years.
